Becky and Wade met each other as they grew up in smaller communities at the northern end of the island, but it wasn’t until they both came to Victoria that they decided to make something of it. As I spent the day with them and capturing moments from getting ready to the ceremony to the casual backyard reception, I could definitely see and feel the small-town vibe. Becky and Wade were both super relaxed and easy-going, with awesome do-it-yourself ideas from the decoration (Pinterest was Becky’s inspiration, and while I haven’t succumbed to the latest fad, just from being at this wedding I am in awe of the bounty of ideas that Pinterest holds) to the barbeque dinner. Perfect way to pull off a large-scale wedding without hurting your bank account.
The girls got ready at the Howard Johnson on Royal Oak, while the boys got ready at the home. The ceremony was held at Playfair Park, where formal pictures were taken immediately following the ceremony, and it was back to the home for a backyard barbeque.
