Trevor and Robin have been such a joy to watch grow as a couple over the last couple of years. As a photographer, there is definitely something special photographing and witnessing the wedding of friends that I have known for years, from seeing the excitement lead up to the wedding and knowing more to not just who they are as a couple, but as individuals, and having the opportunity to capture that.

Just before I made the decision to move to Nicaragua for the year, Robin came to me with excitement over her new engagement to Trevor! We shortly after had a short engagement session and talked about the possibility of me photographing their wedding, held in Trevor’s parents backyard followed by photos at Mt Doug and reception at UVic’s University Club. Leaning toward being in Nicaragua this year, I wasn’t quite sure how it would all work out, but I knew the opportunity to be present at their wedding would be a hard one to miss, and decided to go for it and take a “vacation” – which I am so thankful I did! I can’t imagine missing the beautiful moments, nor the fun ones that naturally came about with these guys!

Congrats Trevor and Robin! And as I’ve said before, you did a great job of not letting the rain get in the way of your celebrations 🙂

PS I have a hard enough time usually selecting which photos to share, so when it’s a wedding of friends, with friends, and it’s been a while since I’ve had a wedding to share on the blog, it’s even harder to narrow down!
